Good-to-Knows About Cabinet Hardware
- The measurement listed on the handles/pulls is from the center of one screw hole to the center of the other screw hole. Check out the product details to see how long the actual product measures.
- A lot of Amazon cabinet hardware comes with 2 sets of screws for each handle – your standard-size screws, and then screws that can be cut with pliers if the standard ones don’t work out.
- If your new cabinet hardware screws don’t quite go through existing holes, you can simply use a drill with a slightly larger drill bit to carve out a bigger hole. Just ensure you don’t make it too big to where the head of the screw could go through.
- For drilling new cabinet hardware on doors that don’t have any holes, check out templates like this one that make the job a lot easier. This is the exact template I have used and it really came in handy.
- When you need to fill a pre-drilled hole that you’ll no longer be using, you can use a wood filler. After sanding and painting, no one would ever even know there was a hole there to begin with!
While cabinet hardware is a relatively simple purchase, it’s important to get something that you absolutely love. You can run down to your local hardware store and buy similar pulls as the next person, but now you know that Amazon has some ridiculously cute cabinet hardware options you won’t find at the store!
