Hydrangeas are one of those flowers that are insanely popular and for good reason. These timeless bouquets make any arrangement look luxurious and stunning.
The only downside to hydrangeas is that they don’t last forever! If only… *sigh* 🙁
If you are like me, you want to enjoy the beauty of freshly cut hydrangeas for more than a couple of weeks. So I had to find a good alternative to real hydrangeas that don’t dry out or die quickly.
I’ve been on the HUNT to find the most realistic faux hydrangeas. And oh my gosh, did I find the prettiest ones out there?!
The MOST Realistic Faux Hydrangea On The Internet
As soon as I stumbled across these real-touch hydrangeas, I knew they were going to be good.
And I need to pat myself on the back because I was right haha. They are absolutely STUNNING! They are so realistic that I have had multiple guests ask me if my bouquet is real even after touching and inspecting these flowers.
They are 20 inches long which makes them perfect for a large vase. You can also cut or bend them to the size you want for a smaller vase.
I’m so impressed with this option and I’m definitely going to be buying real touch flowers again in the future. 10/10, highly recommend.
My #1 Tip For A Super Realistic Bouquet
The way that I make sure my bouquet is super realistic is by mixing multiple shades of the hydrangeas together. This creates the illusion that they are real. The best combo for this is:
- 2 to 3 white hydrangeas
- 2 light green hydrangeas
- 1 dark green hydrangea
This combination makes the hydrangeas look like they are in different stages of growth. Which makes them look extremely realistic and natural!
Faux Flowers Compared To Real
And just for fun, here is a comparison of a faux hydrangea bouquet compared to a real bouquet that was freshly cut. They honestly look extremely similar – it’s hard to tell the difference.
The only difference I notice is the green leaves on the faux hydrangeas don’t feel real. They feel plasticy (but they don’t look like it). The hydrangea petals, on the other hand, feel very real.

Other Faux Flowers I Have Been Loving Recently
I know this post is all about the best faux hydrangeas out there but I also need to give a big shout out to my other favorite faux floral arrangement – my tulips!
Tulips 1 | Tulips 2 | Vase | Small daisies cup | Big daisy cup
I have been displaying these faux tulips all spring and switched to the hydrangeas during late summer/early fall.
The best tip I have to make these tulips look real is to combine two different types of tulips. These are the two types of tulips I used and I couldn’t be happier with how this bouquet turned out.
